It is always a pleasure to have the opportunity to join Jon Schwabish’s PolicyViz podcast and I was delighted to contribute to another episode last month whilst attending the Information+ Conference in Potsdam, Germany

Busy times, people, very busy times. I’ve had to abandon the blog scene these past few weeks in order to survive the demands of my current to-do list. I’m hoping things will calm down in a few weeks and I can accelerate my post frequency from ‘rarely’ through ‘seldom’ and on to ‘sporadically’…

It seems like it was only 46 days since I was last afforded the of being invited on Jon Schwabish’s PolicyViz podcast. And yet, here I am again!

It is always a pleasure to be invited to participate in a podcast recording and, recently, Jon Schwabish kindly invited me back to record the 108th episode of the always-excellent PolicyViz podcast

It was a pleasure to have the chance to share a short recorded tribute to the legacy of Hans Rosling in this special Data Stories episode where Enrico and Moritz offered their own remembrance alongside several other familiar contributors.

It was super to be invited by Steve Folland to be guest on his excellent ‘Being Freelance’ podcast. My appearance coincided with my hitting my 5 year anniversary since I left the ‘normal’ working world and set out to become a freelancer so it was great to have a chance to reflect on this past few years

Titled ‘Exploratory Data Analysis: Widening Your View Point’ it is an adapted excerpt from a section in Chapter 4 of my new book looking at some of the tactics involved in using exploratory data analysis to try unlock some of the ‘unknowns’ in your data.
