After a gap of 7 long years it was super nice to be back recording another episode with Jon Schwabish on his PolicyViz podcast. We spent 37 minutes reflecting on the changing landscape of data visualisation, exploring the evolution of tools, the fragmenting of the community across the social media landscape, and, as Jon describes it, generally taking a moment for some introspection in data viz.
I’m aware many other people are also doing similar introspections about the data viz field, and maybe some think the more introspections we do and talk about the more it unsettles things but, if nothing else, it can help to know if others are going through similar experiences of uncertainty.
